Poojyaya Raghavendraya
Poojyaya Raghavendraya Satya Dharma Ratayacha,
Bhajatam Kalpavrikshaya Namatam Kamadhenave
The worship of Sri Raghavendraswamy, who is the embodiment of Sathya and Dharma (Truth and Righteousness), bestows whatever boon one aspires like Kalpavruksha, the Celestial Tree, and Kamadhenu, the Celestial Cow. Incessant chanting of this hymn is a panacea for all ills and problems in life, especially in this age of tension chanting of
"Om Sri Raghavendraya Namaha," helps immensely.
BackGround of Mantralyam
This holy land was sanctified by the performance of a great yagna by Prahlad in Kritayuga. And the legends are heightening it glory with the anecdote that Sri Rama passed this way during his fourteen year Vanavasa. Realising its spiritual potentialities with his antarchakshu,, Raghavendraswamy opted for the then barren and forlorn land, when the Nawab of Adoni offered a Jagir for Swamiji's residence and building of an ashram.
Manchalamma Temple / Link
The Manchalamma shrine is located on the left corner of the SRS mutt. Though the shrine is small but is splendid in appearance. It is the presiding deity of the whole Manchale village. The darshan queues to the idol are not very long. Manchalamma Temple has a legend associated with it that makes it all the more important.
Legend of Manchalamma Goddess
It is customary for any one visiting Rayaru Matha to seek the blessings of the village deity of Manchalamma. It has a legend associated with it. Actually before Guru Rajaru entered the Brindavana in Manchale, he wanted to obtain the permission of Goddess Manchalamma. With this intent he went to the temple and started praying to her wth utmost devotion. Pleased with Raghavendra Swamy`s devotion she appeared before him.
She wanted to give him a boon. Rayaru narrated his desire. Devi said that once his Brindavana is established millions of people will flock to this place for blessings. As a result her presence and temple might be forgotten for ever. No body would care for Devi Manchalamma any longer.
Raghavendra Swamy reassured her that for all to receive his grace and blessings, people need to visit the deity of Manchalmma first. Devotees coming directly to his Brindavana first would not be entitled to receive his blessings. This is the reason for Goddess Manchalamma`s popularity.
